Who We Are
San Marcos Academy, located in the beautiful Texas hill country, is a fully accredited Private Christian school for students in PreK 3 through the 12th grade, with a boarding program for students in 6th – 12th grades. The curriculum at the Academy is designed to engage and inspire students, preparing them for success in life and in college. The Academy has a diverse population of students from around the world, across the United States, and all over Texas. Since 1907, San Marcos Academy has provided a tradition of excellence in private Christian school education.
Academics
The academics program at San Marcos Academy is designed to prepare our students for success in college and in life. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each student, presenting content through the prism of a Christian worldview. San Marcos Academy has three academic divisions: a Lower School (grades PreK-5), a Middle School (grades 6-8) and an Upper School (grades 9-12).
Campus Life
While academics are the primary focus of each weekday at the Academy, the SMA Experience is much more than books and grades. As a top boarding school in Texas, our desire is to see each student develop as a whole person: mentally, socially, physically and spiritually. To further this process, we provide a variety of experiences and opportunities outside the classroom.
Athletics
Academy coaches place a higher value on how an athlete plays than on the outcome of a game; sportsmanship, integrity, and character on the field or court are the values that characterize a winner at San Marcos Academy. With competitive opportunities in multiple sports, our program features top-quality athletic facilities and a fan base that is second to none.
