Texas Pre-Kindergarten: Where It All Begins

The Academy experience begins with our nurturing private Pre-K in Texas class for 3 and 4 year olds. Nestled in their own building, our youngest students embark on their life-long journey of learning. SMA’s prep schools in TX early childhood education program provides the foundation for each child to become a successful student, all while having fun with their new friends and engaging instructors.

PreK Program Features

Curriculum

Vertically aligned with our Kindergarten program, the curriculum follows state guidelines and includes ELA/phonics and math lessons/centers

Faith

Utilizing the Deep Roots Bible curriculum, instruction includes Bible stories and songs

Music

Weekly musical instruction is offered along with performance opportunities

P.E.

Physical Education instruction offered once per week; large, fenced playground area is utilized daily for structured and free play

Safety

Campus safety features include front access gate, regular SRP drills, PA system, cameras, and School Resource Officer (SRO) on duty daily

After-School Program

Our optional After School Program is self-contained in the PreK building, with play and a snack provided from 3-5:30 p.m. daily

Health Center

Access to a school nurse is available at the Student Health Center

Daily Schedule

PreK School hours are 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Schedule includes circle time, lessons and centers, lunch, play time, nap
